Felton Gables Homeowner's Association

Our informal Homeowner’s Association is a nonprofit formed for shared activities, with a small central budget primarily for our twice-annual gatherings. The nominal annual fee of $20 also covers our directory of neighbor contact info. The Board is made up of a President, Treasurer, Secretary and 4-6 additional voting Board Members at any given time. The Board meets at least two times each year. Board positions are elected for a one-year period at the annual spring HOA meeting, and can be extended annually if desired. We occasionally create committees to address particular needs and areas of expertise (e.g.,rail and transportation issues, safe routes to school, etc.).

Interested in joining the Board? Descriptions of the roles can be found here.

Annual 4th of July Block Party

Felton Gables has a longstanding 4th of July BBQ tradition, an afternoon of friendly fun and a great way to connect with neighbors of all ages. Games and activities for kids, a parade (including dogs), and a big BBQ come together in front of 300 Lennox Ave at Tudor Drive.

A team of volunteers organizes the event and happily welcomes helpers. Sign up for the email list to receive the details.

Holbrook Palmer Park Gate

In true neighborly spirit, two FG homeowners allowed us to collectively build a private path on their property line to the back of Atherton’s beautiful Holbrook Palmer Park. The path and locked gate grant convenient access to the park’s 26 lovely acres of walking paths, gardens, playgrounds, picnic areas and historic buildings. A $175 initial cost per family and $25/yr gate key fee help cover insurance and maintenance. For more info or to sign up, please use the contact below.

Autumn Backyard Cocktail Gathering

In September, Felton Gables adults gather for a backyard cocktail and appetizers party. The location rotates each year to any volunteer host, and everyone brings treats to share. The HOA pays for the cocktail ingredients and a paid server to help. It’s a great time of year to catch up and welcome fall together. As with the 4th of July party, info on this event is sent out via the email list.

Mailing List and Google Group

Our Board’s private email list helps everyone stay current on important information, including emergency planning and events. A single Board member sends all notes to ensure only about one email per month and disable group replies. For occasional neighborly questions and conversations, we also have a Google Group. Please join either or both using the contacts at the bottom of this page.
